Check out the resurrected Epstein's Customer Hall of Fame. It's been a while since we've accepted new members but maybe it's time we opened the books. (Note: If you'd like to send in an application please be sure to include an appropriate bribe.)
The official HJE ball cap. Made right here in Kansas City by Sandlot out of navy melton wool. Green underbill. Adjustable snap back. These hats are 100% USA made.
We're often asked for recommendations on a wide variety of KC related things so we thought we'd put a list together of other KC companies we like and recommend on a regular basis. I'm sure it will grow but this is a start.
Nice American made pliers . Have also been tempted to purchase some of the Nicholson or Warrensville products , Just not sure I want to deal with the stigma … 8^)
It was a good deal by a good company run by a guy who plays a pretty good tune sings a pretty good song and has a pretty good collection of music.
Dig the videos.
The ax handle was promptly sent and promptly received, and promptly turned into a usable ax.
A good experience all around.
I had been searching for a while to find these skroozon file handles ever since my local hardware store closed a couple of years ago now. What a great find with Harry Epstein! They carry all the sizes and have fast shipping!
Will be buying more !
A lot going on with these little fellas. Dual round grip zones, cross hatch tips, a little wire cutter, just a lot of utility in a small package. The slip joint widens its potential and the wide handles make them still feel substantial even in the wider position, the handles don't touch so no complaints of pinching here. The way the handles are shouldered makes it really easy to use for pulling tasks. The nose is slimmer than the main body of the tool, with that and it's small size it's well-suited for sneaking into tight areas and pulling, twisting, or otherwise manipulating things, and they even use a different joint rather than IPS's usual nut and bolt which helps keep the joint from making it wider than it needs to be and from catching on things. Comfy grippy handle dip, too. Just an overall really well thought-out tool, surely using the Snap-on LN as inspiration but with a distinct different design that makes it useful in its own right.
