Top Grain Leather Knife Sheath for French Folding Knives #7 and #8 Made right here in Missouri out of top grain saddle leather. The front of the sheath looks identical to the back. Also doubles as a leather pot holder for cast iron skillets.

It works for skillet handle heat

I have tested this now and it does allow you to grab a handle with your bare hand.

It fits our Smithey 6”, Lodge 8”, Smithey 11”, vintage no-name, and Lodge 12” pans’ handles just fine.

Smithey will sell you a posh, full grained leather sleeve for $25. They put a bird on it!

I think the choice is pretty clear.

Great cast iron frying pan handle!

I have several hundred traditional pocket knifes and found this sheath too narrow for nearly all of them. BUT, it makes an awesome cast iron frying pan handle cover! Slid one on a century old BSR and another one a contemporary Lodge. PERFECT FIT! Great grip, no slipping, holds up well to the heat. And they look great. I may buy more of these with my next order just to give away to friends. One of those things you didn't know you needed it until you have one. Brilliant!
