Decent Mirror, but...

TLDR: Not a bad mirror, but didn't last as long as I had hoped for the purpose I bought it for.

Had a couple of issues with this mirror, first of all the background: I ordered a stainless steel mirror because I keep having glass mirrors break. I am an inspector in an aircraft repair station, so I use the mirror every day, and I am kind of hard on them, so I was very interested in the stainless, unbreakable option.

I have used a stainless steel mirror before, and they are by nature not as "clear" or "bright" of a reflecting surface than a glass mirror. So I was expecting some diminished visibility. But when I got the mirror, it seemed like the "back" of the mirror (the side NOT covered by protective plastic film) was more brightly polished than the "front" of the mirror. Not a deal-breaker, but I would flip back and forth between both sides to get the best view, depending on the situation and the lighting. I was willing to live with this, until today.

The mirror itself became detached from the handle, the swage on the end just gave way. Now granted, I have used this mirror daily for a couple of weeks now, and I fold and unfold it constantly, so I just might have exceeded the number of "cycles" the mechanism was intended to withstand. But, the mirror is no longer one with the handle, and so now I will probably place it in my survival kit as a signaling device, (its still shiny and reflective) but I will need to come up with a different solution for my mirror needs at work.
